How to resize an image
- Add your images. Drop JPG, PNG, WebP or HEIC files onto the box above.
- Choose the size. Use a percentage such as 50%, or an exact width or height such as 1080 px.
- Download. Save each image or get them all in one ZIP file.
Common sizes
1080 px wide works well for Instagram and most social posts. 1920 px is a good maximum for websites and email. 50% is a quick way to make a large phone photo much lighter.
Why your files stay private
Most online tools upload your files to their servers. This one does not. The tool is downloaded into your browser once, and every file is processed locally on your phone or computer. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it keeps working.
Frequently asked questions
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens in your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server.
Will my photo be stretched?
No. The other side is adjusted automatically to keep the original proportions.
Can I make an image bigger?
Yes, but enlarging cannot add detail, so the result may look soft.
Does resizing remove location data?
Yes. Resized images are saved as new files, so GPS location and other metadata are not copied over.
Which formats are supported?
You can add JPG, PNG, WebP and HEIC files and save them as JPG, PNG or WebP.
